Top Coach 2: Wynn Fletcher, Central Alabama CC

From selling asphalt repairs and ad space in Tennessee Titans’ broadcasts (both dirty jobs) to an NJCAA D1 national championship — that’s the road that Central Alabama Community College’s Wynn Fletcher has traveled. He admittedly didn’t know a whole lot about coaching, other than what he picked up from his father, when he took the head coaching position at his alma mater just two years removed from being a student. After much trial and error and utilizing a copy of Andy Lopez’s Coaching Baseball Successfully, Coach Fletcher began to find out what worked and what did not. After stops at Faulkner University and David Lipscomb, Fletcher has settled in nicely at CACC and has got his guys to keep “pumping the pump.”

Thanks for the catch, Stephan! Just a typo, but that’s what happens when you are your own editor. 🙂
