A native of Buffalo, New York, Coach Joe Raccuia is another in the seemingly endless line of top notch college baseball coaches from the Northeast. Coach Raccuia started his coaching career at his alma mater, Radford University, and after many stops, has been back directing the Highlanders since 2008. Part of the lure of a return to Radford was the promise of a new stadium if the funds could be raised. Mission accomplished, as Coach Raccuia helped to direct the effort to raise the funds and the new stadium has been in place since 2011.
