Top Coach 64: Jim Martin, Rhode Island

Be the Best

Typically, I’ve got information that needs updating by time I chat with our coaches, but today much has transpired from the time I scheduled Jim Martin until the time of our interview. You see, he was the head coach at D2 Merrimack College. As of this week, he is the top assistant coach at D1 Rhode Island. And to compound matters, his wife is due with their first child in just a week. He’s one busy man.

Jack Warren talks with Coach Martin about his path from D1 baseball player at St. John’s to where he is today. This former hockey player knew for most of his life that he wanted to coach, he just didn’t know whether it would be on the ice or the grass and dirt.
