Sometimes Top Coach gets a known quantity in a D1 coach who gets his share of media attention. Sometimes, however, we uncover a hidden gem who’s just plying his trade without the intrusion of SportsCenter cameras or the many magazines or web sites devoted to college baseball. Today’s guest has been laboring away — successfully, I might add — for 26 seasons at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. Jim Page is well known in many pockets of college baseball, but coaches across the nation would be well served to listen to what Coach Page has to say. And let me add here that he has the same infectious enthusiasm and satisfying contentment of previous guests like Southern Maine’s Ed Flaherty and Linfield’s Scott Brosius. These guys all appear to understand that your destination is what you make it.
