Another episode and another Northeast guy. Bryant University’s Steve Owens is Northeast through and through, having spent his entire life in the Northeast, with the exception of a short stint in West Virginia, courtesy of the Chicago Cubs. And thanks to the Cubs, we’ve got our fourth top tier college coach that was either drafted by or played in the Cubs’ system. So we Cub fans can be thankful for at least one thing.
In only the first season of NCAA Division 1 tournament eligibility and only his fourth season at the helm, Coach Owens took his Bulldogs to an NCAA Regional. Mining his talent almost exclusively from the Northeast, Owens has built a more than solid program and hopes that the success continues.
