Paul Blanchard has coached at nearly every level of scholastic baseball, from high school to junior college to NCAA D1, D2, and D3. And he’s doing this all while not straying far from his roots in the southern part of Minnesota.
Coach Blanchard made his name as a two-sport athlete at the University of Minnesota, the place where he first died his toes in the coaching waters. He’s now been at the helm of the program at Southwest Minnesota State University for two decades.
In this episode, Coach Blanchard draws upon his broad experience to talk to young coaches about the coaching journey – getting started and making sound choices. We also talk a bit about the overall health of college baseball and D2 in particular.
