TC151: Joey Seal, Norfolk State

Joey Seal is a hustler. He may be a least tied for the hardest working guy in college coaching. Norfolk State doesn’t have a lot of the bells and whistles of their fellow D1 programs, but you’d never know it from watching Coach Seal. After a stellar four year career for the Spartans, the local product jumped right into the coaching ranks, joining head coach Claudell Clark’s staff.

Joey says he pretty much always knew that he wanted to coach. Six seasons under his belt and he’s only more determined that he got into the right profession. His responsibilities at Norfolk include just about everything you can think of. He challenges every young coach to make a good first impression and to pitch in whenever you have a chance.
