TC136: Greg Brown, Nova Southeastern

When a guy comes recommended by someone like Penn State’s Rob Cooper, then that’s an easy addition to the Top Coach lineup. Coach Cooper first crossed paths with Nova Southeastern University‘s Greg Brown in their work with USA Baseball. But that’s only part of Coach Brown’s baseball journey. Along the way he played in the Miami Marlins’ system and has been a scout for the Houston Astros. He is currently the head coach of Nova Southeastern University, located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

We’ve had a quite a run of NCAA D2 programs lately and it’s fascinating to note the diversity of the schools and programs. While a school like Quincy University, home of past guest Josh Rabe, has an enrollment of about 1,500, Nova Southeastern checks in with more than 25,000 students.
