TC122: Lou Proietti, Rider University

To underscore the fact that all NCAA D1 programs are not created equal, today we’re talking to the assistant coach at Rider University, Lou Proietti. Neither Coach Proietti or the other “full time” assistant coach at Rider are paid as full time coaches. What pays the rent and puts food on the table for Coach Proietti is his position as a residence hall director at the school. He also is working on his Master’s Degree.

Coach Proietti is, as best as I can remember, the first Canadian we’ve had on Top Coach, so it’s interesting to get a little peek at the ways of the game in the Great White North. He also talks a bit about his brief stint playing pro ball in Italy after college.
