TC112: Mark Brew, Lee University

In this episode we’re talking to the head coach at Lee University, Mark Brew. Coach Brew has been an active participant in moving the Flames from NAIA to NCAA Division 2 and the Gulf South Conference in recent years. With the move comes increased obligations and expectations. But Coach Brew doesn’t sound like one to back down from a challenge.

Mark Brew grew up in an area in Tennessee that has produced some big time college and pro talent the last few decades, but especially the last 15 years or so. He went to college in Nashville and eventually landed a couple of hours to the southeast in Cleveland, Tennessee. At one point in our discussion, Mark summed up very well what most coaches know and cite as a motivation for doing what they do. Billy Graham once point out that “One coach will impact more young people in one year than the average person does in a lifetime.”
