TC423: Craig Skinner, Kentucky

It’s been a little while since we brought you someone from outside the baseball world. Well, we’ll just say – it was worth the wait. Buckle up and listen close, because Craig Skinner is bringing it! The University of Kentucky women’s volleyball coach knows a great deal about volleyball and even more about coaching. You might want to listen twice to these great insights from the NCAA 2020 national champion.

In this episode Coach Skinner talks about the University of Kentucky and the city of Lexington, the “feel” of the campus, his own athletic career (including a short stint with Michigan Football), getting his start in coaching, celebrating achievements, his coaching path, landing the Kentucky position, advice to potential coaches, the roster and scholarship structure of NCAA D1, the size and athleticism of players current and past, volleyball hotbeds, what makes volleyball different, and communication.
