TC416: Travis Lallemand, Crowder College

This week we’re headed to Neosho, Missouri where we’re talking to the had baseball coach of Crowder College, Travis Lallemand. Coach Lallemand heads up one of the more formidable teams in all of NJCAA D1, capping off many of their seasons with trips to the World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.

In this episode Coach Lallemand discusses Crowder College and Nesosho, growing up in Kansas, getting his start in coaching, learning the profession, the difference between the NJCAA divisions, options for high school athletes, the two-way receruiting that characterizes JUCO baseball, selling JUCO baseball, development, the “sophomore jump”, evaluating players, culture, having a field named after him, staff, and family.
