Five minutes into this interview and it’s clear why Scott Stricklin loves having Tatum Hodge on his Georgia Bulldog Baseball staff. Seven years in total and now starting year two as the Director of Operations, this former soccer coach is embracing this chapter of her professional career, as she helps sort out “everything that’s not baseball” for the Bulldogs.
In this episode Tatum talks about the University of Georgia, growing up in Greenville, South Carolina, retiring from gymnastics at the age of nine, playing soccer at Clemson, college life, getting into coaching, transitioning from a player mindset to coaching mindset, the difference between soccer and baseball training, coaching vs. administrative work, flexibility in her role, operations duties, how being a parent has helped her in her role as coach and operations, and her fellow staffers at Georgia Baseball.
