
Another coach with roots in the Northeast making an impact in the coaching world. Edwin Thompson spent his formative years in Maine, adding another coach to the legacy of Northeast coaches. These days Coach Thompson is off to a great start, attempting to bring a winning tradition to a Georgetown program that just experienced its first winning season in a very long time.
In this episode Coach Thompson talks about Georgetown University and its campus, Maine, Northeast coaches, playing multiple sports, roller skating(!), his college career, getting his first taste of coaching while in high school, coaching multiple sports at once, getting into college, COVID, the importance of mentors, discouragement in the job-seeking process, the season-defining series win against UConn, culture, and life at a basketball-driven school.
