TC382: Tom Cantrell, North Georgia

Since helping to relaunch the baseball program at the University of North Georgia, Tom Cantrell has steady and relentless, amassing nearly 800 wins in his 22 seasons at the helm. He’s another one of the really god guys who’s got it figured out. blending quality baseball and developing quality young men.

In this episode, Coach Cantrell talks about growing up in Georgia, lessons learned in high school baseball, finally learning to hit in junior college, minor league baseball, entering coaching, landing his first paid coaching gig in JUCO baseball at $1500 per year and moving up a pay grade as head coach to $3500, relaunching the program at North Georgia, wiping the slate clean, and changing a culture.
