It’s our first baseball trip into the state of Nebraska and we’re visiting with John Rypel, the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University, an NCAA D3 school in Lincoln.
In this episode, Coach Rypel talks about growing up in Ohio, playing for former guest Brian Harrison, getting married early, his first high school coaching job, Maryville College, building something from nothing, Calvin College, a great opportunity at UAB with Brian Shoop and Ron Polk, landing the job at Nebraska Wesleyan, being the only D3 school in Nebraska, league play, and non-league scheduling.
