Imagine the meeting where you’re told that you’ll now be playing baseball on a weekly basis against members of the Pac 12 conference. Well, that is exactly what Utah’s Bill Kinneberg got to experience about eight years ago when the school’s AD came by his office to share the news. It had been a rumor, but now the reality of it all was setting in. Well, Coach Kinneberg and his Utes have been up to the task, even winning the conference title in 2016.
In this episode, Coach Kinneberg talks about Salt Lake City, the Pac 12, life before the Pac 12, the coaching stops in his career, gauging an athlete’s competitive nature, facilities, the on-campus stadium, and fan support.
