TC342: Anthony Gilich, Central Arizona College

2019 marked the third national title for the Central Arizona College Vaqueros, wrapping up things in grand style in Grand Junction, Colorado at the NJCAA D1 World Series. Heading up this championship group is Anthony Gilich, longtime assistant coach and just completing year number six as head coach.

In this episode, Coach Gilich talks about Central Arizona College (and its Fire Science program), playing in a wood bat conference, the Grand Junction experience, growing up in Gig Harbor, Washington, lessons learned while looking for a job, looking for the right opportunity, practice organization, keeping the game interesting for his players, culture, coaching his assistants, and the annual alumni weekend.
