TC325: Jeremiah Robbins, Umpqua Community College

Jeremiah Robbins had a good thing going at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, but the chance to go home and coach baseball was extremely compelling. When Coach Robbins heard that Umpqua Community College was restarting their baseball program after more than 30 years, he couldn’t pass up on that opportunity. UCC Baseball officially kicks off in the 2019-2020 season.

In this episode, Coach Robbins talks about the nice run he had at Lewis-Clark, the factors in his decision to move, becoming the second coach in UCC history, what was behind the decision to restart baseball at UCC, the differences in recruiting at a two-year school, the powerful NWAC conference, housing and other challenges at Umpqua, staffing, and reflecting on what’s important in life.

Listen to our interview with Coach Robbins in episode 121 from 2015.
