There are some hidden gems in the world of NAIA baseball. Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida is one of those gems. In only his second season at the helm, Adrian Dinkel guided The Fire to a mind-boggling 59 wins and the NAIA championship last May in Lewiston, Idaho.
In this episode, Coach Dinkel talks about Southeatern’s ideal location in Lakeland, Florida, playing in the NAIA, honing his coaching skills in summer ball, how he went about evaluating the potential of open positions, his priorities, how he knew Southeastern was the right place, travel (or the lack thereof), work/life balance, his recruiting philosophy, practicing fast, staff, and facilities.
