TC313: Pete Buscaino, East Carolina

Pete Buscaino says that growing up as one of six kids in a noisy Italian family prepared him well for the world of athletic operations. Well, let’s just say that, as of late, the East Carolina Baseball program is one big, happy, and successful family.

In this episode, Pete talks about growing up in Clearwater, Florida, getting his first taste of operations with UCF Baseball, working with a couple of MLB teams, his very short detour to Ole Miss, wavering between operations and coaching, learning to love the development side of the student-athlete experience, the autonomy afforded to him in his role by head coach Cliff Godwin, developing new ideas, taking ownership of your role, and a few email trips and tricks.
