No need to ask twice. When we get the heads up on a bright, young coach, we’re all over it. Mississippi College is part of the very solid NCAA D2 Gulf South Conference. Leading the charge is fourth year head coach Jeremy Haworth.
In this episode, Coach Haworth talks about growing up in Edmund, Oklahoma, going the JUCO route when finances wouldn’t allow him to go the D1 route, being recruited by Justin Haire, getting his start in coaching at Arkansas-Little Rock, taking over as head coach at mid-year at Oklahoma Baptist, the differences between being an assistant coach and a head coach, learning to be consistent, gaining the trust of his players, scholarships, facilities, and staff.
