TC292: Bryan Torresani, Arcadia University

Given the number of baseball playing colleges in the state of Pennsylvania, it would be hard not to have one of these guys pop up every now and then on Top Coach. But given the success that these guys have on an ongoing basis while battling the weather, it’s something we definitely like to showcase. In this episode of Top Coach, we welcome Bryan Torresani, the head baseball coach at Arcadia University, an NCAA D3 school located right outside of Philadelphia.

In this episode, Coach Torresani talks about growing up in the same area where he’s now coaching, his coaching journey (including JUCO, D3, D1), starting the baseball program at Chestnut Hill, discovering that as a coach you’re never off, how the often difficult Northeast weather backs up the schedule at times, the inflatable dome that helps in harsh springs, using the former Temple University baseball facility as their home field, work/life balance, trying to recruit against so many other NCAA D3 schools in the region, developing relationships with high school coaches, evaluating players, and maintaining a staff.
