TC210: Michael Schell, Cannonball Foundation

For most of us, we realized almost from the beginning that we’re in the game for more than just baseball. It’s about the impact that we can have on lives while we play the game we so greatly love. Michael Schell determined along the way that many factors were eroding his love of the game. That’s part of the reason why he’s so determined to change and enhance what the game of baseball can mean to coaches and players in the Northeast and across the county. His Cannonball Foundation says it this way in their mission statement: Inspired by William Cannonball Jackman, The Cannonball Foundation is dedicated to coaches shaping lifelong learners and leaders through the joy of baseball.

In this episode we talk about the preeminence of joy as a part of the game, the 2017 Cannonball Foundation Fellowship Program, using tools such as Strength Finders to help to evaluate and develop, burnout, and surrounding yourself with good people.
