Are you the right person to help us launch Athletic Ops?

From the desk of Jack Warren

We are in the midst of some big changes here at Top Coach and Cornbelt Sports and that means opportunity. For those of you who’ve been paying close attention, you’ve no doubt noticed that in addition to all of our normal Top Coach activities, we’ve really been pushing hard on our first operations conference. And that is where we see some real opportunity for growth.

Although we’ve had a baseball focus since our inception, the marketing for our first operations conference leaned both on our baseball and softball contacts, as there is a natural synergy between the two sports. Moving forward, we hope to incorporate all sports, as the differences between the operations aspect of the various sports is minimal. In addition to our operations conference in Nashville, we’re aiming to launch a new website, devoted entirely to operations.

That’s where we need your help. We are looking for someone – perhaps a coach or operations person – to act primarily as an editor for our new website. This is an opportunity to make a little money, but more than that, an opportunity to create, learn, and grow. We’re looking at perhaps ten hours per month to start, with many opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities to start:

  • Recruit content for the new website
  • Create content
  • Line up guests for a new podcast
  • Help with the operations conference

Desired competencies:

  • Attention to detail
  • Decent writing skills
  • Ability to effectively network
  • Resourcefulness
  • Entrepreneurial tendencies

The previous two bullet point lists are, frankly, just meant to give you an idea of the kind of person that might fit well with the responsibilities. What I like more than anything in the list is a certain amount of passion and a strong desire to succeed. Perhaps that’s you!

If you’d like to learn more about this opportunity, drop me a note at info@cornbeltsports.com and let me know why you’re interested!

*This position will be treated as a freelance/contractor type position and not as an employee of Cornbelt Sports.
