Take a few moments to read this article from the University of Charleston (WV) athletics website. Once again, Andrew Wright demonstrates why he is considered one of the brightest and most innovative minds in college baseball. While some coaches gain a positive reputation for their clinic presentations, a solid and sustainable program can only be attained through real innovation and leadership. That’s what you get with Andrew Wright.

Listen to this October, 2017 episode of the Top Coach podcast where Coach Wright lays out his vision for his program and the creative ways he goes about maximizing the budget of an NCAA D2 baseball program. Then check out the following article which gives an overview of the staff additions that he’s recently made.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The University of Charleston Baseball program and Head Coach Andrew Wright has announced the hiring of Dylan Mazzo, Ryan Hunt, Anthony Zona, Gabriel Vigil and Michael Eader to join the baseball staff for the 2018-2019 season, including revised roles for previous staff members Andy Hoyer and Alec Porterfield.

“This is an incredibly exciting time in our program. A special thanks goes out to former assistants Casey Hodges, Thomas Stallings, and Robert Haggerty for their impact on our program. Quality organizations are built with quality people and strong processes and we would not be in the position we are without their contributions. With that said, I am beyond excited to announce this year’s staff. We have tried to push the envelope on creating the most comprehensive student-athlete experience in the country and I believe this year’s staff will help push us further in that direction.”
